Eligibility

The minimum entry requirement for Honours in BBE is the satisfactory completion of a Bachelors degree, with an overall GPA of 2.5 (average mark of 65).

Honours in BBE is open to students majoring in BBE at Macquarie.  We also encourage applications from students from outside our undergraduate program who have a particular interest in the study of Animal Behaviour.  Animal Behaviour is a multidisciplinary field, so we will consider outstanding applicants with majors in allied disciplines including Agriculture, Biology, Ecology, Mathematics, Neurobiology, Physiology, Psychology and Zoology.

NOTE:  It is imperative that students with a major in a discipline other than BBE discuss their suitability for the BBE Honours program and project with their potential supervisor, or the Honours Course Convenor.

Honours may be completed full-time (BBE490) or part-time (BBE495) and students can enrol at the beginning of Semester 1 or the beginning of Semester 2.
